Every year this show gets better. The funds raised last year brought the Mobile Mammography truck to Oak Park and Del Paso Heights to provide free mammograms. For many women this is their only opportunity for screenings. What a wonderful way to help local women stay healthy.

Checked out the newly expanded space for one of my new favorite antique dealers G. Platanitis this past weekend at Antique Trove. Think I found the inspiration piece for our living room!
Had the best time catching up with my good friend and blogger buddy Ashlee Gadd last night when she told me about an awesome event she’s orchestrating at the Citizen Hotel this Thursday. If you’re anything like me and avoid crowded malls at all cost (working retail for nearly ten years will do that to a girl) and enjoy supporting local businesses, then I highly suggest you check out this event.
The cost is just $15 and will get you free champagne and appetizers plus access to 18 amazing local businesses including some of my favs like YSJ Vintage, Asha Yoga and of course my favorite photographers in Sacramento Jen Stewart Photography (Shameless plug: Yes, Jen is my cousin and responsible for our beautiful wedding pics!). If that’s not enough, a portion of the proceeds will benefit Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
